West Texas Coordinators' Corner

Let us know what you've been up to!

The Clark Campaign is in full swing and the Clark's Texas Corp is growing by leaps and bounds. In addition to the sheer numbers of volunteers signing up to support General Clark, OUR volunteers are actively campaigning from Texarkana to Del Rio, Beaumont to El Paso and Dalhart to Mission.

We'd like for you to know what's happening around Texas and to share in some of the events that our local organizations have participated in recently.

Clark's west Texas supporters have been busy this fall and growing exponentially as each month goes by. Converts from the Dean campaign continue to sign on and our volunteers actively work to promote our candidate each day. Nomination sheets are continuing to be distributed and signatures gathered.

Several members went to Midland on a Saturday to participate in the Midland Democrat's Convocation and spread the word on Clark.

Recently the Lubbock County Democrats conducted Precinct and Volunteer training to gear up for the March primary.

The Lubbock County Clark committee is putting the final touches on a formal structure to move forward with our efforts.

Several new volunteers have come forward in Amarillo and we hope to have a Coordinator there shortly.

We visualize the campaign as being patriotic and presenting the campaign as the answer to America's problems. We tell Republicans it is alright to keep their party loyalty and independence long range, but to do what is right for America in the short range. We want to plant in the minds of the Republicans and Independents that they have been betrayed by compassionate conservatism - just a touch of needling and righteous indignation. We make the point with democrats that all democratic candidates are good people with good ideas, but Clark not only has the above attributes, he is a winner
