Texas for Clark grew out of the Draft Clark
movement in the Summer of 2003. Many of the coordinators
and activitists who are involved in this presidential
campaign signed up originally to call General Clark
to run for election as President of the United States
in 2004.
Less than two weeks after General Clark announced his
candidacy, he visited Texas. A thousand Texans showed
up to support him at the General Assembly in Austin
on Sepember 29th. He'll be back to see us soon!
Now, many more Texans are working to elect General
Wes Clark.
Texans for Clark are passionate Democrats with
extensive political campaign experience who believe
that Wesley Clark is uniquely qualified to challenge
George Bush and win in 2004. We're also independents
and Republicans, conservatives, moderates and liberals.
Together we have built a campaign organization comprised
of thousands of supporters and volunteers, who
are actively organizing campaign and grassroots activities
in communities across the country.
